The only drawback is if you are in the same room with the kids, the beds make noise if the kids toss and turn a lot. They are easy to inflate and deflate. bought them for my 3 1/2 yr old grand children for Christmas and they absolutely love them. Shipment arrived promptly. My son takes them with them everywhere they go.
Between visits, it takes very little space on a closet shelf. Everyone wants to sleep on the "blow-up bed" - but they have to obey the 'no jumping' rule. Bought this aero bed several years ago for a visiting young grandchild who wanted to sleep in her parents' room. Now that there are more grandkids than guest beds, they have to take turns sleeping on it. The soft cover is great and everything washes up easily if little ones have an accident.
Inflates & deflates quick. My son (9) used this air bed for 9 nights during our WDW trip, he's also used it for sleepovers at his Grandparents. I'm pleased.
I put a water proof mattress pad (the sheet kind, like from Walmart) under the cover and that helped with the clean up. My son is potty trained but he did have an accident. He loves it. I got it for my 2 almost 3 year old boy. If you are considering a travel bed - search no more. The top cover lets the "liquid" pass through, and it seems to remain dry on the surface.
I love it. This is a great bed. I even checked it in at the airport and it's not charged because it's like a "crib". My son stayed in the bed - no problems with him rolling out.
Plus I have found that the bed deflate a bit overnight. I'll concede that my 2-year old is big for his age, but he has managed to roll out of the bed a few times. Regardless, it's a good way to introduce a toddler to sleeping in a bed and great for travel once they've outgrown the portable crib (name is escaping me right now).
